
Jackson Wang, a singer who was born in Hong Kong, has been appointed as Louis Vuitton’s newest brand ambassador.
The global sensation, who has more than 31 million Instagram followers and 30 million Weibo followers, recently made news for reiterating his nationalistic emotions on stage and disparaging western nations while calling China a ‘dope place’. More than 540 million people viewed the issue on Weibo after it became popular.
Born in Hong Kong, 28-year-old Former Olympian Wang is a part of the K-pop band Got7. Last September, Wang embarked on his first solo world tour and released his second studio album Magic Man. The tour kicked off in Bangkok.
“I’m preparing for an American tour, then South America and then probably Europe. The European crowds are crazy. There’s a lot of preparation, but I’m excited,” said Wang.
Wang previously served as the face of Armani Perfume in APAC and Hennessy before being chosen to represent Louis Vuitton. Prior to this, he served as the Ray-Ban spokesperson, Cartier’s ‘Friend of the House’ and Fendi’s China ambassador.
