
Indian Terrain Fashion Ltd., the brand which has been retailing in the menswear segment from past 16 years, is now venturing into the womenswear category.
The brand is still at the initial stage of developing women’s garments.
Venky Rajgopal, MD, Indian Terrain reportedly stated, “We are currently planning on retail strategies and styling of clothes which will take another few months.”
He also reportedly informed that apart from western wear (for women), the Chennai-based company also has plans to launch comfort wear in the next one year.
Indian Terrain has a lot more in its expansion bag. It is also focusing on increasing the brand’s retail space. The company is considering to add 85 new retail counters by the end of 2018.
Currently, Indian Terrain has 142 exclusive stores. It also retails through 1,200 other multi-brand outlets, 250 large format stores and 7 leading e-commerce platforms in India.
The company is anticipating a 20 per cent growth in the 2017-18 financial year through the aforementioned plans. It has already generated Rs. 84.48 crores in revenue with a profit of Rs. 4 crores in the first quarter of the current fiscal itself.
