Swedish fashion retailer H&M, which is focussing to grow globally, has announced the opening of its maiden store in Puerto Rico. The first store in the island nation is housed in The Mall of San Juan.
The retail store was inaugurated by Daniel Kulle, President of H&M North America, model Joan Smalls and Store Manager Amanda Fuentes on June 9 after months of anticipation.
The store inauguration was attended by more than 1,400 H&M fans. They waited for more than seven hours for the doors to open.
“The amazing response from customers has made H&M thrilled and make the brand feel like part of the local community,” stated Kulle in a statement issued by the company.
The retailer is aimed to offer quality fashion at the best price to the people of the island nation by expanding its presence here.
Staring its journey in 1947, H&M has now become a global fashion and design company with physical presence in 69 markets and a strong digital presence.
In addition to offline stores, it is also expanding its e-commerce operations in markets where it is present. Last month, the brand announced the successful launch of new and extended online experience for its customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the UAE.
