HanesBrands, the US apparel bigwig, is planning a big Asia expansion for its fast growing brand – Champion.
And the aim is to make this happen in next 2 years!
HanesBrands has joined hands with LF Corporation, South Korea wherein the apparel firm hopes to see its Champion store count in South Korea go up from 10 to 30 by the end of 2020 – and it will continue from there.
LF Corporation, reportedly, will also help Hanesbrands go online in South Korea.
Presently, there are over 200 Champion stores and shops-in-shops all over Asia including countries like Japan, China and Thailand among others.
That’s two-thirds of worldwide network! HanesBrands group plans to double its stores and shops in all the above-mentioned markets in next 2 years.
Pleased over its association with LF Corporation, Jon Ram, Group President of global activewear, HanesBrands, maintained “We are looking forward to the growth that we can generate through the growing power of the Champion brand combined with the retail, e-commerce and brand building expertise of LF.”
Champion is a global leader in sports performance and athletic casualwear apparels and is particularly appealing to younger consumers in their teens and 20s.
