Gymshark, a sportswear company, has announced that it would be opening four new stores in the next year. These stores will be its first pop-up shop, its first permanent retail presence in the UK, and its first location in continental Europe.
Gymshark will introduce the pop-up first, which will open in Bicester Village, an outlet shopping centre, in October this year, to then go on until January 2025.
Meanwhile, Gymshark plans to launch a permanent facility in London at Westfield White City in early 2025, followed by the announcement of its first space in mainland Europe, where it will open a store on The Kalverstraat in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The country was labelled “one of the biggest markets for Gymshark,” and it stated it was enjoying increased interest there on a “daily basis,” prompting the decision to open a site in Amsterdam.
The final stage of the rollout will be in Manchester, where Gymshark plans to open its first standalone location in the UK’s north at Trafford Centre in the summer of next year.
Situated on Upper Peel Avenue, the 7,500-square-foot store will provide special collections to the area in addition to the brand’s most popular categories.
Speaking on the launches, general manager of wholesale and retail Hannah Mercer said that the company was truly “ramping up” its commitment to an omnichannel approach. Once completed, the openings would expand Gymshark’s retail network to seven locations.
