As alleged anomalies are being reported by the customers pertaining to services by some e-commerce entities, the Commerce Ministry has suggested customers who face the issue of not getting products on time or the refunds, to approach the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection to lodge complaints with it.
Reports maintained this while adding that the e-commerce platforms are being asked to deliver products within 5 days and 10 days in case of rural areas and far away districts after receipt of advance payments as per the e-commerce operation guidelines issued recently, which also underlined that in case of failure of delivery of products on time, refund should be made within 10 days.
Further, the new deadlines will also be applicable to products for which advance payments have been made by the customers before the guidelines took effect, reportedly, confirmed the Additional Secretary to the Commerce Ministry Hafizur Rahman as well as the Chief of the Government’s central digital commerce cell.
