GAP Kids has roped actor and designer Sarah Jessica Parker of ‘Sex and the City’ fame, to design its kids wear collection for Spring 2018.

The actor also has her own accessories and footwear line called SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker. The limited edition capsule that Parker will design for Gap Kids will be sold through their website and stores in select countries next summer including United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Greater China, Hong Kong and Japan.

Parker unveiled a teaser of the collection on her Instagram profile showing a white and baby pink bag pack with rabbit ears and tiny feet hanging on the bottom. GAP Kids’ own Instagram has also posted a series of videos featuring the rabbit theme and the tagline ‘love, luck and magic’.

The pricing and size of this capsule are yet to be revealed and the actor simply wrote “Speaking of Rabbit, Rabbit… Can’t wait for you all to meet Ebbit the Backpack in Spring 2018” in reference to the picture.

While further details about the collection are yet to be revealed but if Parker’s personal aesthetic is any indication, we can expect a soft feminine colour palette and exquisite details aplenty in the line.

This fashion collaboration is not Parker’s first partnership with GAP Inc. as she has appeared in some of the retailer’s advertising campaigns in the early 2000s as well.

As for GAP, the partnership is a key move because several retail brands such as Reformation, Lemons etc. and design labels like Kith and Pucci are also foraying into the lucrative kid’s market.
