The Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust, better known as FTCT, is taking initiatives to help the families of those working in UK’s fashion and textile sector.
FTCT will be, reportedly, providing a grant of over £600,000 to assist the families of pandemic-hit garment and textile workers in the country.
Here it is important to state that FTCT has given an outstanding £1.2 million in grants to help the children of workers since 2016.
As the industry got hit by the pandemic, over 3,490 essential commodities were funded by FTCT to support the health of children whose parents faced financial crisis.
Besides, as reported by Drapers, FTCT’s grants for children’s school uniform and laptops helped ease the pressure on parents, thereby allowing them to use their income on other essential resources.
Several fashion firms have welcomed the FTCT’s move to help the affected families.
