Walmart has announced that Flipkart has delivered impressive results, with double-digit revenue growth in Q2 FY ’25. The company noted Flipkart’s improving revenue profile and positive contribution margin. PhonePe, another Walmart subsidiary, also saw significant growth in total payment volume (TPV).
During the earnings call on 15th August, a senior Walmart executive highlighted Flipkart’s achievements. Although specific financial details were not disclosed, Walmart’s international businesses, including Flipkart, PhonePe, and Myntra, contributed to an 8.3 per cent revenue increase in Q2 FY ’25, reaching US $ 29.6 billion, up from US $ 27.6 billion in Q2 FY ’24.
Flipkart, a leading e-commerce platform in India, has been a key part of Walmart since its acquisition in 2018. It has consistently been praised in Walmart’s earnings calls for its strong performance. In contrast, Amazon has not provided updates on its India operations for several quarters.
