Salvatore Ferragamo has named Pierre La Tour as its Group CFO, and he is to begin 18th March 2024.
According to a corporate press release, La Tour has also been designated by the board of directors as a manager with strategic responsibilities owing to the prerogatives and obligations allocated to him in the areas of administration, finance, control, and investor relations.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Pierre La Tour to our team. “I am confident that his international profile and diverse experience will add significant value to our group,” stated Marco Gobbetti, CEO and general manager of Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A.
La Tour joins the firm from Biesse Group, where he was the group’s chief financial officer and investor relations representative. Pierre La Tour, an economics graduate from the University of Geneva in Switzerland, began his charity career with the Aga Khan Foundation, where he worked on microfinance both centrally in Geneva and in Pakistan and India.
After working in Asia for Société Générale, he entered the Fiat Group in 1997, where he held a variety of posts with increasing responsibility. He was named CFO of Iveco Defence Vehicles in 2008, and subsequently CFO of CNH Industrial’s Specialty Vehicles business segment in 2014.
In 2015, he was appointed CFO China for Shanghai-based CNH Industrial, which resulted in a major turnaround by simplifying and combining organizational structures as well as negotiating connections within joint ventures, a position he left in 2019 to join Biesse, a Milan Stock Exchange-listed company.
