Fast fashion label Pretty Green, founded by icon Liam Gallagher in 2009, has filed a notice of intention to appoint Moorfields Advisory to handle its problems.
The brand is currently readying itself to undergo bankruptcy problems. Reportedly, the filing allows Pretty Green an opportunity to secure new investment. Once the brand gets secures new investment, the new deal would be executed following the implementation of administrators.
It is imperative to note that there has been continuous interest from potential bidders ever since Moorfields started the process since early March.
Lately, the brand has been struggling due to the poor retail market in the UK owing to the rapid emergence of online shopping.
Pretty Green, which employs nearly 180 people in the UK, saw its turnover rise to US $ 50.33 million in the 16 months up to January last year. The pre-tax losses during the period came down to US $ 1.9 million from a loss of US $ 7.3 million.
