Finally Farfetch is on JD.com!
After 2 years of strategic collaboration, Farfetch, the UK-based online luxury fashion retailer, has finally opened a flagship store on JD.com.
JD.com, in addition to being the largest retailer in China, is also the strategic investor in Farfetch. The collaboration most likely will open up Farfetch’s products on JD.com’s website and app, which has over 300 million active users.
Farfetch will have a Level 1 entry point on the JD.com app, offering millions of Chinese shoppers instant access to more than 3,000 brands via the Farfetch network of more than 1,000 luxury brand and boutique partners.
Judy Liu, Managing Director, Farfetch China, said in a statement that she was happy to offer JD.com’s customers direct access to a wide array of luxury fashion online. She added “Brands crave ever-better access to the Chinese market, and we are thrilled to deliver this for them.”
Farfetch believes that opening a flagship store on JD.com will help bolster its presence across the globe.
