DMart’s first quarter standalone revenue for FY ‘23 has almost doubled to clock Rs. 9,806.89 crore.
It was Rs. 5,031.75 crore in the same period a year before!
The outstanding Q1 figures distinctly show the lifestyle retailer’s recovery from the pandemic, which has now helped it grow beyond pre-pandemic revenue numbers.
In a regulatory filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange, Avenue Supermarts wrote “Standalone revenue from operations for the quarter (QE) 30 June 2022 stood at Rs. 9,806.89 crore.”
Here it is important to note that DMart is promoted by Avenue Supermarts Ltd., and has its headquarters in Mumbai.
Founded in 2002, DMart currently counts 294 bricks-and-mortar stores across India. As of 31 March 2019, it had a total of 7,713 permanent employees and 33,597 employees hired on contractual basis.
