
A court n Bangladesh capital Dhaka recently started trial against controversial e-commerce company Evaly’s CEO Mohammad Rassel and his wife Shamima Nasrin, who is also the chairperson of the company, for allegedly customers’ money.
As per media reports, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan passed the order in this regard on 28 December (Wednesday) and fixed 18 February for taking the testimony of the concerned officials.
Reports further added Mohammad Rassel, was brought to the court on Wednesday from jail to face trial even if Shamima, who is currently out on bail, did not appear before the court while appealing for more time through the lawyer.
The court, nevertheless, rejected the plea and reportedly issued an arrest warrant against Shamima.
