As part of its “considered but steady” expansion plan, Milan-based fashion firm Del Core has established its first US boutique on New York’s Upper East Side, making it its second solo location.
The 7,556 square foot store, housed in a townhouse at 789 Madison Avenue, has three floors of retail space dedicated to its ready-to-wear, couture, and accessory lines. A showroom and press office are located on the fourth level, where celebrities can be scheduled.
Creative director Daniel Del Core wants people to consider the flagship as a “living organism and a sci-fi lab full of surprises,” complete with crisp lines, contemporary design, handmade components, and the brand’s distinctive light green colour.
The minimalistic and edgy interior idea is reminiscent of the brand’s 2022 London debut store, with sculptures, avocatus marble furniture, fringe-adorned sofas, and black racks that resemble branches with apparel dangling from them.
Commenting on the opening, Daniel Del Core, creative director of Del Core, said in a statement, “This opening is a new step in our expansion. We are now ready to play in New York, in one of luxury shopping’s main areas, in a way that embodies the values we stand for.”
