Decathlon, a leading sportswear and sporting goods retailer, has launched its first physical store in Jharkhand, located in the Bistupur neighborhood of Jamshedpur. This opening is part of the French company’s ongoing expansion across India.
“We’re thrilled to bring our wide range of sports and outdoor gear, innovative products, and passionate sports community to Jamshedpur,” announced Decathlon Sports Jamshedpur on its new Facebook page. “Whether you’re into cycling, running, football, or any sport under the sun, we’ve got something special for you.”
The new store features over 6,000 products catering to 60 different sports, as highlighted in a video on the Jamshedpur Facebook page. In line with its brand ethos of promoting sports for healthy living, Decathlon’s promotions for the Bistupur store showcase local residents engaging in activities such as yoga, cycling, and running.
Founded by entrepreneur Michel Leclercq in France in 1976, Decathlon now has a presence in over 72 countries and operates more than 110 stores in India.
