Fosun Fashion Group has rebranded as Lanvin Group!
The Chinese firm, which owns luxury fashion labels such as Lanvin, Wolford, Caruso and Sergio Rossi, made the move on Monday (11 October 2021), while also welcoming its new investors.
The Group has said that rebranding strengthens its clear vision of building a strong global portfolio of iconic luxury fashion brands.
It also announced that the latest funding round has secured two new strategic investors, which include the likes of Japanese trading pioneer Itochu Corporation and footwear manufacturer Stella International.
Lanvin Group is expected to utilise the market expertise and resources of the aforementioned investors to boost its global supply chain and distribution capabilities.
Notably, the US $ 1 billion fundraising also attracted private equity group Xizhi Capital.
Joann Cheng, Chairwoman of Lanvin Group, said that the Group’s focus is on high-end brands with heritage and a history of craftsmanship, besides having interest in new brands with strength in fashion technology.
She also added that the Group is now open about potential acquisition targets.
Fosun was set up in 2017 to capitalise on the fast-growing global demand for luxury fashion, especially in the Chinese market.
