The US-based leading apparel label, Calvin Klein Jeans, has introduced a kids line in the European market, launching a series of Spring pre-collection for kids in the age bracket of 4 to 16 years. The new line is available in European department stores and on the brand’s exclusive e-commerce website.
The latest collection offers 50 pieces for girls and 48 for boys, put under a price bracket that starts from 25 euros and goes up to 180 euros.
The new collection is inspired by the West Coast surf and skate cultures of the 70s. The fashion label is offering head-to-toe denim looks and symbolic pieces but hoodies printed with Route 66 road signs offers an extra element to Calvin Klein Jeans’ debut kidswear range, parts of which are made using environment-friendly materials.
The brand’s celebration of Americana comes at a time when the parent company of the brand, PVH Corp’s third-quarter results were announced. However, the group failed to meet the expected revenues set by Wall Street estimates, citing, disappointing performance at Calvin Klein. The announcement saw the company’s shares down by 8 per cent.
Emanuel Chirico, CEO, PVH Corp elucidated that “we are disappointed by the lack of return on our investments in our Calvin Klein 205W39NYC halo business.”
It is important to add here that, Calvin Klein 205W39NYC is a premium line, which was recently re-designed by Raf Simons, Creative Director, Calvin Klein.
The brand fetched about US $ 9.1 billion revenue last year and it retails its merchandises across 110 countries.
