
Brooks Brothers, a lifestyle clothing brand, has re-launched its Black Fleece label, a capsule collection of formalwear for both men and women. Originally launched in 2007, the line intended to reimagine classic pieces with a modern twist. Crafted by Michael Bastian, Brooks Brothers’ Creative Director, the collection merges craftsmanship and tradition with contemporary sensibilities.
Created from the finest European fabrics, the new Black Fleece collection matches the brand’s current formalwear range, providing “extraordinary pieces for the most special occasions.” The collection comprises an extensive array of formal clothing for both men and women, all precisely crafted in Italy and Portugal from the premium Italian milled wools, silks, and Sea Island cotton.
Decorated pieces from the men’s collection comprise of a silk linen grosgrain shawl lapel tuxedo, a wool and silk double-breasted peak lapel tuxedo, and a silk hopsack shawl lapel dinner jacket. For women, the range comprises of two sophisticated tuxedos in black or white, created from ultra-fine merino wool and highlighting feminine cuts with drawn lapels and a silk mix faille collar.
