Ted Baker, one of the UK’s fastest growing lifestyle and fashion brands, has sought property firm Cushman & Wakefield’s help to get retail locations in Germany, an increasingly important destination for the world’s most exciting lifestyle brands, for its expansion.
The brand is currently present in the country with 16 concessions in premium department stores.
The British iconic brand founded in 1988, operates more than 500 stores and concessions worldwide. Majority of the stores are located in the UK and 113 are in mainland Europe.
Besides Germany, Spain, France and Portugal are among other locations where the global lifestyle brand is planning an expansion.
The high-street label has been focusing on widening its presence for quite some time now. It recently inaugurated its first store in India at New Delhi’s Chanakya Mall, a luxury four-storey mall-cum-multiplex. The British retailer is considering further expansion in the Indian market.
Since the year 1988, the luxury clothing retailer Ted Baker has grown steadily from its origin as a single shirt specialist store to a global lifestyle brand it is today.
Notably, geographical expansion is being carried out by the retailer in the UK and Europe, North America and Asia markets. In 2017, it announced its plans for new openings in Paris, Oxford, Gloucester, Roermond, Los Angeles, Houston, Shanghai, Japan, South Korea and at premium department stores in Canada.
