Asos, the British ultra fast fashion e-tailer, is here with its second circular design collection–yet again establishing its commitment to sustainability.
The e-tailer has also, meanwhile, entered into a trial partnership with clothing resale service Thrift+.
The sustainable Spring/Summer 2022 collection is made of 47 pieces, comprising the best of womenswear, menswear and unisex apparels.
The new collection will not only cater to satisfying fashion-loving youngsters, but also help meet Asos’ circular design criteria.
All the products in the collection, are made of recyclable or renewable materials such as Texloop RCOT, a 50 per cent pre-consumer recycled cotton and 50 per cent organic cotton mix, and Tencel Lenzing Refibra.
Tencel Lenzing Refibra, notably, uses technology to upcycle cotton scraps into a cotton pulp, which is then mixed with wood pulp from sustainably managed forests to create a virgin-quality Lyocell fibre.
Meanwhile, Asos is venturing into a partnership with Thrift+ trial, where customers can request a free Asos x Thrift+ bag on its website and send unwanted clothes to Thrift+ to sell on its platform.
Asos sells over 850 brands in addition to its own range of apparels and accessories. It also ships to 196 countries from fulfilment centres in the UK, USA and Europe.
