India based ethnic-wear brand BIBA has fortified its presence in south India by launching its ninth store in Chennai. VR Chennai Mall in the city has become latest location to host store of the ethnic-wear brand. Overall, it is the 15th store of the brand in Tamil Nadu.
Other than Chennai, Madurai, Salem, and Coimbatore are major locations where brand has its physical presence.
Anarkalis, Peshwai kurtas, skirts, tunics, and kurta dresses have been stocked at the store, spread in an area of 1,300 square feet. BIBA’s newly inaugurated store has a dedicated space for BIBA Girls and BIBA jewellery.
The brand finds it a very appropriate time for expansion, due to onset of the festival time. Retail expansion would help it showcase its latest collection and special festive range.
“The brand is hopeful to note positive response from the market in south India as it has been welcoming the brand,” Siddharth Bindra, Managing Director, BIBA was quoted as saying in report.
Bindra expressed hope that ninth store in Chennai will offer an unmatched shopping experience to customers.
The retailer earlier revealed its plan to open around 200 new stores under its flagship brand Biba by 2020. The brand is targeting Rs. 600 crore revenue in the current financial year.
The brand currently operates 250 exclusive brand outlets across the country. Additionally, the brand also retails through all leading e-commerce websites, other than its own website.
