The former Chairperson of Bangladesh’s controversial e-commerce platform Evaly, Shamima Nasrin, has sought the platform be allowed to resume operation.
Media reports maintained this adding Shamima has submitted an application in this direction to the concerned court through her lawyer, senior advocate of the Supreme Court, Ahsanul Karim.
In the application it has also, reportedly, been maintained that Shamima along with her mother and her sister’s husband be included on the Board of Directors of Evaly even if another application was filed in the High Court seeking order not to harass Evaly CEO Mohammad Rassel and his wife Shamima, in any unnecessary cases.
It may be mentioned here in September last year, Mohammad Rassel and Shamima Nasrin were arrested on allegations of fraud and embezzlement based on a case filed by a concerned customer of the e-commerce platform.
