The Co-founder of beleaguered e-commerce platform Evaly, which has been mired in controversy, has alleged that the transaction records of the firm have been lost because of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
According to media reports, Shamima Nasrin recently maintained that following a raid last year, the RAB did not lock up Evaly’s headquarters, which enabled looting and for which registers and documents could not be provided to an audit team on its transactions.
Addressing an online press meet, Shamima, reportedly, said during the raid, the RAB team stayed at the Evaly headquarters for some time and left without locking the doors or anyone in charge of the keys and as they left the office unguarded and open for several days, office furniture, computers, equipment including laptops and closed-circuit cameras were looted, Shamima further, reportedly, alleged.
