Asos is getting on the bandwagon of offering alternative payment options to its customers with the global payment platform Apexx.
This new partnership entails that Apexx will be responsible for managing the authorisation, optimisation and processing of transactions made through Asos’ Payment Orchestration Layer across European markets.
The service will be made available internationally at a later date.
This move comes as international markets make up more than 60 per cent of Asos’s sales and joining hands with Apexx will help reduce customer conversion costs as well as increase Asos’ e-commerce acceptance rates.
“With our growing international footprint, it is increasingly important for Asos to offer our customers their preferred payment methods and currencies, as well as to be able to optimise our international payments in a way that makes sense for our business. We’re looking forward to working with Apexx as a Payment Orchestration Layer in this space, and to growing out our partnership in the coming months,” Brent Hobson, Head of Payments at Asos, averred, commenting on the partnership.
Asos is a British e-commerce marketplace dedicated to providing clothing, cosmetics and accessories to its clients.
Founded in 2000, the company sells over 850 brands as well as its private labels on its websites and ships to all 196 countries in the world.
