
The newest Non-Executive Director and Chair of the ESG Committee of ASOS is Anna Maria Rugarli. With companies like Nike and VF Corporation, Rugarli has more than 20 years of experience working in the global apparel industry.
She focuses in developing plans to address the environmental and social problems that the sector is now facing as well as in providing end-to-end management through implementation and roll-out.
She currently serves as a Board Member at Prada Group and Japan Tobacco International. Jørgen Lindemann, Chairman at ASOS, said: “Anna Maria joins us with a wealth of ESG experience from some of the biggest brands in global apparel.
Last month, ASOS launched a partnership with affordable rental platform Hirestreet – supporting the brand’s goal to “be more circular”. This allows Hirestreet customers to shop an edit of over 180 ASOS womenswear pieces, which are “focused on women’s occasionwear dressing”.
