In an effort to further its brick-and-mortar strategy in a high-traffic retail district, Asics has opened its largest Indian flagship store in New Delhi. Performance Running, Core Performance Sport, SportStyle, and apparel are all combined under one framework in this 2,800 square foot carpeted store. In order to facilitate product discovery and navigation, the layout incorporates wall displays and category zones.
By the end of 2026, Asics India hopes to expand its network to 200 locations, building on its domestic development. Later this year, the business anticipates opening its first store of its own. In order to meet the demand for athleisure and casual clothing, the brand is expanding its lifestyle positioning with the SportStyle collection in addition to its performance offers.
The flagship is made to cater to a wide range of customers, including those looking for SportStyle and athleisure as well as elite runners and fitness-conscious consumers. Performance footwear, clothing, and changing lifestyle products are all included in the range, which enables the brand to serve several purposes in a single destination store.
The opening emphasises ongoing investments in category zoning, full-line assortments, and experience-led formats in strategic metropolitan locations for retail partners. Together with the opening of a company-owned outlet, the expansion plan to 200 outlets by 2026 suggests a hybrid approach to scale, control over the brand experience, and increased market penetration across performance and lifestyle segments.
