Megamart, a value-focused clothing retail company owned by Arvind Limited, intends to open 15- 20 “Megamart Savings Malls” and approximately 400 small format stores in India over the next four years in an effort to appeal to budget-conscious consumers.
Megamart’s COO, KE Venkatachalapathy, stated that the company is highly value-conscious, just like its customers, recognizing that every rupee saved matters. He emphasised that Megamart is vigilant about its spending and currently has the lowest operational costs in the industry, passing on the savings to customers.
However, this focus on cost efficiency does not compromise quality, as Megamart invests in extensive training for its front-end staff to ensure every customer is not just satisfied, but delighted.
There are now 130 Arvind’s Megamart locations in 45 Indian cities. The brands that are carried at Megamart stores are either international names that Arvind is authorised to sell in India or his own labels.
