For the 6th successive year, Anta Sports, the well-known sports shoe retailer from China, has witnessed a good year as far as sales is concerned.
2019 saw the retailer clock US $ 4.8 billion at an impressive growth of 40 per cent.
The Group, which owns brands Anta, Fila and Descente among others, saw good sales growth for most of its brands.
While Fila had a fantastic year with a sales increase of whopping 73.9 per cent, Anta’s sales too jumped by 21.8 per cent.
Profit to shareholders also saw a jump of 30 per cent during the year to record US $ 757 million.
The Group also had a good year as far as store expansion was concerned. Anta, by the end of 2019, had 12,943 stores, with 10,516 of them in Mainland China. Besides, Fila too had 1,951 stores across Mainland China, Singapore, Macau and Hong Kong.
The Group added that its policy of continuing with organic operation and high-quality growth in addition to strong cost management has been instrumental in helping it successfully stand up to all challenges including the Coronavirus crisis.
