In a move to enhance the online shopping experience and boost seller conversion rates, Amazon has partnered with Hexa, a 3D visualisation company, to offer its sellers a range of augmented reality (AR) and 3D technology tools. The collaboration aims to enable sellers to create engaging marketing materials and immersive content for their product pages on Amazon.
According to a press release by Amazon, the new tools developed in partnership with Hexa will allow sellers to generate 3D images, immersive 360 visualisations, virtual try-on, and augmented reality content. By integrating their Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) into Hexa’s content management systems, sellers can seamlessly convert their images into 3D models.
Hexa’s Chief Technology Officer, Jonathan Clark, highlighted that the collaboration will empower Amazon sellers to produce high-definition marketing materials like pack shots and lifestyle images from their 3D images. This expanded functionality is part of Amazon’s ongoing experimentation with augmented reality features to enhance the shopping experience on its platform.
Gavin Goodvach, Hexa’s Vice President of Partnerships, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that working with Amazon opens up new distribution channels for their partners. Through Hexa’s proprietary content delivery network, brands can now provide immersive shopping experiences and reach Amazon’s vast global network of customers
