74-year-old KP Ramasamy, founder and chairman of vertical integrated textiles company KPR Mill is in the Forbes List Of India’s 100 richest people. He has secured the 100th position on the list with a net worth of Rs. 19,133.7 crore.
KP Ramasamy, a farmer’s son and a college dropout, achieved success by establishing one of India’s largest apparel export companies.
The vertical operations for the overseas market (including Quantum knit) has an annual production of 128 million garments, including sportswear and sleepwear. It works with global retail giants like Walmart, H&M, M&S etc. The group also has a presence in the domestic market with its organic innerwear brand ‘FASO’
KPR group is also into sugar production.
Renuka Jagtiani , chairperson and CEO of well-known retail giant Landmark Group is another entrant in the list with a net worth of Rs. 39,931.20 crore.
Renuka took over the Group after her husband Micky Jagtiani’s death in May, 2023.
