
On 24th July, Tiruppur Collector T Christuraj held a meeting at the collector’s office to promote the development of textile parks in the region. This endeavour aligns with the Chief Minister’s vision to set up small textile parks and boost the sector’s infrastructure and capabilities. The meeting aimed to connect entrepreneurs, dyeing association representatives, and members of the Tiruppur Export Association in the making of these parks.
Throughout the discussion, the district collector highlighted the Government’s support for the proposal, comprising plans for real-time employee training and workshops to improve industry knowledge. He also declared that the government would offer financial support of around Rs. 2.50 crore to entrepreneurs involved in establishing the textile parks. Deputy Commissioner (Textile Sector) Raghavan, besides entrepreneurs and other textile officials, took part in the meeting, which emphasised the government’s pledge to nurturing growth and innovation in Tiruppur’s textile industry.
