Rose Garden Apparels Ltd., the Bangladesh-based knit garment manufacturer and exporter, will be manufacturing personal protective equipment (PPEs) for direct export.
The company has already received demand letters from 4 countries namely USA, Kuwait, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Moreover, it has also started exploring countries to export the globally certified PPEs for contributing to its fight against the pandemic.
Jubaer Hossain Asif, Director, Rose Garden Apparels Ltd., revealed that the buyers are paying US $ 1.10 for non-woven fabric PPE.
The company witnessed a loss of around US $ 1,40,000 due to order cancellations as it had already invested in knitting, dyeing and the goods were already manufactured. “Currently we are 40 per cent occupied,” mentioned Jubaer.
He further informs that the country is receiving huge amount of PPEs and masks from around the world. “We got projection of around 6 lakh pieces for Brazil market.”
