Omega Systèmes, a Web Industries company, manufactures around 60,000 single-use aprons for local hospitals in Pays de la Loire region of France.
These aprons, made of polyethylene, are the most needed PPE units in the hospitals in France and are used by nurses, doctors and caretakers.
The initiative is a result of the demand created by Nantes University Hospital in mid-April 2020.
Notably, these aprons, which are packed and delivered in protective plastic sheaths, have been validated by Nantes University Hospital.
Further on the same, Michael Quarrey, Web Industries Vice President of aerospace operations reports, said “Omega currently has materials to manufacture 1 million single-use aprons. With our materials supply chain and high-speed precision formatting equipment, we can quickly meet apron needs for hospitals and care facilities throughout France and other European countries.”
Michael further mentions that the company is currently supplying around 7.8 million face masks for its customers based in France and holds potential to produce face masks and gowns for hospitals and other healthcare facilities throughout Europe.
