Latest data of export as well as domestic markets are showing that the Indian textile industry is doing well and is on right track. Not only giants, even micro-level players are also expanding and are geared up to grow.
Jaipur-based 6-year-old Hans Creations, having its own dyeing, printing and stitching unit, has increased its hand printing capacity threefolds and also added men shirts and kidswear in its product portfolio.
Currently, the organisation is offering women tunics for export as well as domestic market and its printing capacity is around 1,500 pieces per day.
“Despite that the hand printing is around 20 to 30 per cent costly compared to machine print, we have clients in domestic as well as overseas markets who are insisting on hand prints be it block or screen prints. So we expanded,” told Nitin Koolwal, Director of the company.
He further added that rather than traditional tables of brick for printing, the new tables are made of good quality of iron and smooth functioning of workers and easy material movement has been ensured in the new unit.
“There are many challenges for us in the business, but we are hopeful that in next 2 to 3 months we will have good business. Our sampling of kidswear and men shirts is also going good,” Nitin concluded.
