To be able to provide the highest possible level of customer service, new production capacities are being planned in India. Currently, the Indian subcontinent is managed through offices and warehouse facilities in Chennai, Bangalore and Delhi. There are 20 affiliated companies and subsidiaries of AMANN GROUP with worldwide activities covering over 100 countries.
With innovation at the heart of the group, even the way the thread is marketed is unique. “Our team does not only have thread samples and colour cards to hand out but a set of files containing seam samples on a wide variety of basic materials. As a result the effect and appearance of the individual thread products can be demonstrated after sewing or embroidering, bringing us closer to the customer,” says Sanjeev.
The company has some very popular and new sewing and embroidery threads in its range. Besides the AMANN SabaTEX 120, an over-edging thread, the new N-tech CS thread provides a flame retardant, non-melt and self-extinguishing product which resists high temperatures. The ISACORD collection has been extended to 358 colours and many more solutions for the demanding fashion design industry are available with AMANN, such as multi-colour, metallics and braided threads. “New developments are going on for extremely fine fabrics – key-word microfibre – with their use in sports and casual clothing in mind,” informs Sanjeev.
Some other interesting offerings from AMANN include ISA TEXLIGHT – a light absorbent and glow-in-the-dark embroidery thread that finds application in children’s wear, sports and casual clothing, on bags, shoes, caps and other accessories. Serafil 120/2 and 200/2 – the extreme fine yarn count of these two threads makes them ideal for high definition in monogramming or filigree embroideries. And LIFECYCLE ART 35, which is an eco-friendly thread made of 100% recycled polyester.
The AMANN GROUP has extended its embroidery thread range with prewound bobbins, called ISABOB, which saves on time, as the self winding of bobbins is not necessary anymore. The company has also recently released a service and technology brochure for the shoes and leather goods industry. With this brochure, AMANN provides a compendium of all relevant factors regarding sewing parameters of shoes and leather goods related to decorative seams, zigzag seams, boot lining seams, automatic sewing systems, choosing needles and water-proof seams.
