Close on heels of instructions being given by the Prime Ministers of both India and Bangladesh, Dhaka has requested New Delhi to start negotiations on materialising the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) soon.
Media reports maintained this while adding Bangladesh’s Ministry of Commerce (MoC) recently wrote to its Indian counterpart to commence the negotiation soon even as Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh has, reportedly, underlined his ministry will hold a number of meetings next month to draw up plans on going forward with the CEPA.
“We have started internal procedures to start the negotiations,” reportedly, claimed a senior Commerce Ministry official while speaking to the media.
