Recently, the Minister of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security announced that the textile factories based in the provinces of Benguela, Cuanza Norte and Luanda are expected to create more than 3,500 jobs after the completion of their work. These factories apart from providing employment would strengthen the capacities of vocational training centres boosted by a pilot programme for training professionals, which is soon to be launched by the Ministry of Industry. “Our task is simple, but of great importance, not only for the diversification of the ongoing economic programme, particularly in the industrial field, but also the national system of vocational training,” revealed Antonio Pitra Neto, the Minister of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security during the announcement.
On the other hand, the country is to launch a new Labour Law (LGT) with possibility and the need to create more jobs as a factor to ensuring stability for the people. So far, more than 500 Angolan workers have already benefited from training in the textile field under rehabilitation, modernization and specialization.
